BACP Coaching A Division of BACP

Welcome to BACP Coaching

BACP Coaching is a focus for coaches and coaching within BACP, which is the largest professional body in Europe representing counselling and psychotherapy, with around 40,000 members.

BACP Coaching members are BACP members and as such are counsellors and/or psychotherapists. We have a range of perspectives on coaching within our membership from those with an early interest in coaching through to others working extensively as coaches.

Our members work with a variety of models to integrate coaching and counselling. Some see coaching and counselling as completely distinct, others use offer both to clients as part of a spectrum of support. BACP Coaching members are able to tailor interventions to suit a client's need.

BACP seeks to understand and foster coaching as it relates to its core activity of counselling and psychotherapy. We see our psychological training as an advantage and this is backed up by BACP's reputation as a robust organisation that strives for excellence.

BACP Coaching seeks to promote ethical, effective and professional coaching for the wellbeing and enhancement of individuals and organisations.

From therapeutic foundations, our coaching members work right across the diverse field of coaching practice, research and academia. This includes the domains of personal / life, workplace / executive, education, social care and healthcare. Feel free to read our Vision and Mission.
